The vertical concrete wall overlay system is best applied with a hawk and trowel. However, unlike regular concrete, troweling the surface is not necessary or recommended.

For production the quick shot vertical mix shotcrete machine can be brought into service. At the 2005 world of concrete, mega demo, fossilcrete technicians, using quickshot, sprayed and stamped 160 sf of fossilcrete vertical wall mix at a 3/4" depth in under one hour. Coloring was completed the next day in one hour.
