Ardex Designer Floors created from Ardex SD-T a self drying self leveling Portland cement based topping. Installs from ¼"to 2" in one operation and up to 5" with the appropriate aggregate.

SD-T hardens fast due to its unique self drying formulation, can be coated with a water-borne concrete sealer just 2 hours after installation and opened to traffic as soon as the sealer has fully dried.

Ardex SD-T is available in Grew or White. While Ardex SD-T Grey is suitable to achieve a limited range of colors, White provides the ultimate canvas for most color schemes.

Color can be applied to the topping integrally and/or topically.

For integral color, powdered or liquid pigments are mixed with the Ardex SD-T prior to placing it on the substrate.

Topical colors. Chemical concrete stain, or liquid dyes are applied as surface treatments on Ardex SD-T, following a minimal curing period.

To add distinct multiple colors, metal “Terrazzo-strips” are used to physically separate colors and create patterns in integral designs.

For topical color designs, the installer may use a straight or radius saw cuts to delineate colors and create shapes and patterns.

Other design elements may include the addition of metal or wooden insets as well as stencil-blasted relief effects.

Ardex SD-T can be applied over a SunTouch mat or a WarmWire kit to create concrete floor heating…Signature Designer Radiant Floors.
